A sale for full-time van life. What started as a joke comment – “sell the house and run off in a van and disappear” became a reality and we were fortunate enough to play a small role in making that new start a good one.

We were approached by Roxy (aka Travelling Mom PT) as a recommendation from the gym we go to. If I’m honest, the pressure was on with this one as it had to be a quick sale and it couldn’t be at the detriment of the price. We stuck to our guns with our usual strategy and, as predicted, it paid off.

We went live on the Tuesday morning (26th July ’22) and jumped straight into the thick of it with viewings the same day. From there, we booked and carried out 25 viewings.

The first offer came in on Monday 1st of August, and we asked for Best & Final offers on Wednesday 3rd. Ending up with 9 offers in total – accepting £305,000. (£25k above listing aka 8.9%)

Honestly, we can talk about the figures and our strategy until blue in the face but the real kick we get out of working the way we do is making the best of whatever the selling situation is. Buying and selling a house isn’t and should never be just a transaction; it’s a monumental moment in many people’s lives.

In this case, Roxy was able to get a little bit of breathing space in what is (probably) one of the most trialling chapters of her life.

Our ethics and business philosophy are about fairness to all parties, transparency and going over and above wherever possible – not because it looks good on a website, but so that we can look back when all is said & done and know 100% that people will only have good things to say; that we made one of the most stressful transactions for many a little more manageable.

We’re building this business for legacy and acting accordingly.
